- Are the lasers FDA approved? All of the lasers used at Light Touch Laser Clinic are FDA approved for their safety and efficacy.
- Are laser treatments safe for all skin types or colors? Laser Skin Resurfacing can be performed safely on all skin types and colors because the GentleYag laser surpasses the skin color cell (melanin) layer and works beyond it.
- Who will perform the treatments? All treatments are done or supervised by our physicians. Only licensed medical professionals who have been thoroughly trained perform treatments.
- Will the treatment hurt? Most patients experience little discomfort, usually described as the snap of a rubberband, at the treatment site because of our laser's dynamic cooling device. Your practitioner may recommend the application of a topical anesthetic to minimize discomfort, if needed.
- What can I expect during treatment? The treatments will take place in-office at Light Touch Laser Clinic. You and your practitioner will wear safety eyewear to protect your eyes from the laser light. Your practitioner will program and calibrate the laser based on your skin type and area to be treated. Then a small handpiece will be guided over the area to be treated. Each pulse may be followed by a short burst of cooling spray.
- How many laser treatments will I need? Most patients require 3 to 6 laser treatments. At your free consultation, your practitioner will recommend a treatment plan that includes the number of treatments you may need according to your specific goals and the condition of your skin.
- How long will the laser treatment take? The length of each treatment depends on the size of the condition and area to be treated (i.e. face or face and neck). Most Laser Skin Resurfacing treatments last approximately 30 minutes.
- What can I expect after the laser treatment? It is expected that there will be slight redness in the treated area that may last anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours. However, it is a procedure with no downtime. You can expect to return to work or normal activities immediately following the procedure.
- How often will I be treated? Most laser procedures for skin enhancement are spaced about 4 weeks apart. Your practitioner will determine a specific schedule for you based on the condition of your skin.
- How much do the treatments cost? The cost of the treatment depends on several factors including the type and severity of the skin condition. You and your practitioner will develop a treatment plan during your free consultation which will include the number of treatments recommended and the cost involved. Treatments plans can be prepaid or paid at each visit. Our office accepts all major credit cards, as well as check and cash.

- How does BOTOX® Cosmetic work? Botox® Cosmetic is injected directly into the muscles between your brows. It works by blocking the transmission of nerve impulses to the injected muscles; this reduces the activity of the muscles that cause persistent lines to form.
- When will I see results from a BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment? Within days, you may see a marked improvement in the moderate to severe frown lines between your brows. Lines continue to improve for up to a month, and results can last up to 4 months. In clinical trials, nearly 90% of men and women rated the improvement in their appearance as moderate to better 1 month after treatment. Results may vary.
- How long do the results from a BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment last? Results from a Botox® Cosmetic treatment can last for up to 4 months. If you discontinue treatment, the frown lines between your brows gradually will look like they did prior to treatment.
- Who should administer BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment? A physician with specialized training from an Allergan certified program is best trained in administering Botox® Cosmetic. The physicians at Light Touch Laser Clinic are Allergan certified and experienced in the administration of Botox® Cosmetic.
- Is treatment with BOTOX® Cosmetic painful? Discomfort is usually minimal and brief. Prior to injecting, your physician may choose to numb the area with a cold ice pack or anesthetic cream. The entire procedure takes approximately 10 minutes. Many people are in and out of the office without downtime following Botox® Cosmetic treatment.
- Who should not use BOTOX® Cosmetic? Botox® Cosmetic should not be used in the presence of infection at the proposed injection site(s) and in individuals with known hypersensitivity to any ingredient in the formulation. Patients with neuromuscular disorders such as ALS, myasthenia gravis or Lambert-Eaton syndrome may be at increased risk of serious side effects.
- Will I experience any side effects? The most common side effects following injection include temporary eyelid droop and nausea. Localized pain, infection, inflammation, tenderness, swelling, redness, and/or bleeding/bruising may be associated with the injection. Patients with certain neuromuscular disorders such as ALS, myasthenia gravis, or Lambert-Eaton syndrome may be at increased risk of serious side effects.
- Will my facial expressions continue to look natural? Although the results are visible, a treatment with Botox® Cosmetic will not radically change your facial appearance or make you look as if you "had work done." The muscle activity that causes frown lines between the brows is simply reduced, so you can still frown or look surprised without the wrinkles and creases between your brows.
- What will happen to the frown lines between my brows if I choose not to continue treatments? If you do not continue treatments, the moderate to severe frown lines between your brows will gradually look like they did before treatment.
- Is BOTOX® Cosmetic affordable? When considering your facial aesthetic options, Botox® Cosmetic is quite affordable. According to an American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery survey, Botox® Cosmetic is one of the low-entry-cost facial aesthetic procedures in the United States. Like other appearance-related investments, such as hair coloring and cuts, teeth whitening, and chemical peels, the cost must be weighed relative to your expectations. Call us and schedule your free consultation today.
- Do treatment resuts differ? To get the best results, it's important to go to a doctor who is experienced in administering Botox® Cosmetic. Light Touch Laser Clinic physicians are trained and experienced in the administration of Botox® Cosmetic.
